Haven't been feeling the best mentally lately. It was about four o'clock, and Logan Henley Wolfe was hungry. He bumbled around a bit gathering his things before heading out of his dorm, grabbing his guitar along the way. He didn't really know where to get food as he was still fairly new, so he had to ask three different people for directions to the mess hall. Eventually, he made his way into the large (albeit fairly cold) room. It was almost completely empty, besides a few kids sitting down with their ear buds shoved inside their ears. He thought that it was a shame that people couldn't just be alone with their thoughts, and that bought that they needed to block out the rest of the world in order to focus. After getting a sufficient amount of junk food for himself, he sat himself down on one of the many vacant benches in the area. He shoved a handful of chips (proper English chips mind you, not those crisps that Americans call chips) into his mouth and pulled his guitar onto his lap. He placed his capo onto fourth, and strummed out some chords to the tune of The Smiths' Asleep. He had had an older brother who was obsessed with The Smiths and their "sick New Wave" sound. 'I guess it kinda rubbed off on me..' Logan thought to himself. It seemed as though it really had, because every night Logan still fell asleep to that song. "Sing me to sleep. Sing me to sleep. I'm tired, and I, I don't want to go to bed." he sung in a breathy voice. He just wished that he had someone to harmonize with. That was one of the hardest things about being in Dirge. He had no one to let out his musicality with. And, according to him, it was boring to just play to yourself all day. Music was something to be shared, not something that you played to yourself alone in your bedroom with the shades drawn. 'Really is a shame..'oments. ~~~ |
