that had done it to win felicity over, or at least capture her attention for the time being. war was something that always sparked people's interest for one reason or another. to them it was something they often saw in games or movies, an inaccurate portrayal at best, but something they wanted to know more about for one reason or another. perhaps it was to discover that someone had been the inspiration for something they had seen on a big screen, a true hero or something along those lines. jameson only had a medal to show for his efforts, one that mocked him with the deaths he had caused to his men. there were those memories as well but those weren't likely to fade away any time soon, even after death. "i assure you it's all true." he remarked with a smile, not at all surprised by her doubtful thoughts about what she had heard from others. there were always those who wanted to make a story more interesting or far more exciting by exaggerating more than they should. those were the easy lies to spot out, or those who rarely spoke on the subject because they had little knowledge. there was a difference between not knowing enough and knowing too much when it came to silence as a response though. "there's never a reason to lie, even now that we're dead. it doesn't make for any sort of reliability or trust." he added.
if there was someone who could easily spend money at a store it had to be felicity. jameson himself had spent plenty of money on the party essentials of alcohol, entertainment, and any sort of extravagance that could be added. felicity on the other hand had an eye for fashion, the way she moved about the store holding up the different apparel for approval amazed him. perhaps she had been some sort of fashion consultant or stylist which was why she was so good at what she had picked out and given to him to hold on to. as he waited for her answer he was surprised by her modest answer as a dismissal for the question before sending him off to try on the clothes that she had picked out. he had thought that his answer was modest but hers had topped his. either she was trying to reveal as little as possible to seem more interesting or because she had nothing to share. "civil, but of course." he said as he made his way to the dressing room. as he entered a room he hung up the many choices she had presented him with and began to try them on.
after each outfit was assembled and dressed in he took a moment to step out and show felicity, waiting for either a nod of approval or a shake of her head to try again. what exactly one wore to college frat parties was beyond him and so he decided to leave it all to her. she was going to be the reason he attended his first party so he could scout out what the competition would hold for him, not that he expected anything to surpass or even be on the same level as what he had in mind.
you're fancy now. also i don't know what he's wearing.
